ABSTRACT
The article reports on the acquisition by Applied Materials Inc. of certain assets of Edwards Ltd. Vacuum Inc.'s Kachina semiconductor equipment parts cleaning and refurbishment business. The move was made to expand Applied Materials' chamber services network of facilities and enhance its position as the leading global service provider of critical parts cleaning, coating, refurbishment and analytical technologies to the semiconductor industry. Financial details were not disclosed.
