ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the grants and loans provided for the construction of new affordable housing in New York. About $2.8 million in funding from the state will receive by The Birches at Esopus. It is considered that the project will provide 81 units of housing for low-income senior citizens. A multifamily rental housing project with 100 units will be built in Middletown. Some of the units will be reserved for household with income at or below 60% of the Area Median Income of Orange County.
