ABSTRACT
This section offers news briefs on the health care industry in the Midwestern region of the U.S. Polk County District Judge Robert Hanson said that Iowa hospitals must win certificate-of-need approval to build a replacement hospital at a new location. Kishwaukee Community Hospital opened a 100-bed replacement hospital in DeKalb, Illinois. The Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board awarded Central DuPage Hospital a certificate of need to build a five-story pavilion.
