The article discusses how independent financial planning firms can use technology to reduce costs. Three areas where cost savings can be notable iare space efficiency, back-office efficiency, and compliance efficiency. Digitizing archived documents saves space and hence storage costs. Back-office technologies that make document retrieval quick and easy for all employees can realize significant savings in staff time. Digital document management can both facilitate regulatory compliance and improve document security.
