Virtutech Simics to Support IBM Mambo Processor Model

The article reports on the creation of Virtutech Inc.'s Application Programming Interface (API) to support IBM's processor model in the U.S. It provides support by integrating Mambo into Simics wherein the first is IBM's full-system simulation environment used in the exploration of IBM POWER Architecture processor and system design while the latter is the company's full-system simulator. The process is significant because it enables the developers to leverage the Simics virtualize software development platform to identify issues that affect the practicality and performance earlier in the development process especially when they are much less costly to correct.
