News Analysis: Intel Takes Aim at ARM

The article offers information about Intel's vision for portable and ultra-portable devices in the U.S. On September 2007, it announced its view for the said devices wherein it takes direct aim at Application Response Measurement (ARM). The company is also geared at the new, Intel-invented category of WiMAX-powered products called Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs). It also announces that in April 2007, a Mobile Internet Device Innovation Alliance will be formed to develop solutions that offer customers a US$500 device that can access that Internet anywhere.
