ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the significance of immunization to prevent infectious diseases. Nurses conducted vaccine studies on children and advised patients in clinics and in home visits. They obtained data on public behavior on immunization that informed subsequent outreach. They also asked support from charitable and philanthropic groups and applied modern methods of marketing and public relations to persuade parents to have their child undergo immunization.
