ABSTRACT
The article reports on a national art contest organized by the Armed Services YMCA in celebration of Military Family Month in the U.S. in November 2007. The contest was designed specifically for children with parents who serve in the military. Third-grader Pierce Condon of Mesa, Arizona, was one of the winners of the contest. In his work, his family is standing under an American flag.
