The article presents a study on the association of malalignment with the development of osteoarthritis of the knee. The researchers randomly selected 1501 from 3585 participants and examined their knees. Of the 3002 knees, 2664 knees had legible radiographs. The researchers concluded that participants with varus knee alignment were at higher risk for the development of osteoarthritis of the knee.
