ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the developments of new types of plastics with reference to automobile industry. It is mentioned that the large body panels produced in polypropylene attracts the automobile manufacturers like Toyota Motor Corp. and Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. It is stated that Toyota had also developed Toyota Eco-Plastic to be used in the spare tire covers. It is stated that Mazda had also produced a new biofabric under the name of Biotech to be used for seat covers and door trims.
