ABSTRACT
The article offers tips on growing sufficient maize forage. It says that one option is to undersow maize with a grass ley in June or July. The author also recommends growing early maturing maize varieties to allow time to sow a follow-on crop of wheat or a new grass ley that will provide extra grazing and/or supplement silage stocks for the following year.
