ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the revival of rock and roll music in 2002. It also discusses social and political events which influenced pop culture and music since the 1970s. These events include the Vietnam War, the late Ronald Reagan's two terms as U.S. president and the dance-rock revival as a result of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack. According to an article in the "New York Magazine" popular rock bands include the Liars, the Strokes and Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
