This article profiles Claude H. Grizzard recipient of the Direct Marketing Association's Fund-Raising Achievement Award in February 2000. Since Grizzard started working full time at his father's Atlanta, Georgia-based company Grizzard Communications Group in 1961, non-profit clients have come to represent about sixty percent of the direct group's business. The company have helped the Salvation Army raise more than $175 million in 1999 and handled the bulk of fund-raising for the American Red Cross.
