ABSTRACT
The article reports on the statement made by Alain Bouchard, president and CEO of Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc., that the company, operating more than 5,600 convenience stores in North America, will slow its acquisition pace in the U.S. next year by acquiring only 200 to 300 stores. Bouchard, who was set to be inducted in the CSNews Hall of Fame, added that the company will also focus on improving efficiency, adding higher-value products and conducting 400 store makeovers.
