The article reports on the launching of Weather Channel Interactive Inc. (WCII) ad-supported, mobile video forecast service in the U.S. It is said that WCII worked with a vendor called Vantrix in creating the service, which launched with a pilot program providing video forecasts for San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Atlanta. According to providers the service is the first of its kind in the U.S.
