ABSTRACT
The article reports that D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles has hired Benson Hausman for the New York office as part of its effort to fortify new-business initiatives in 2000. Hausman, 30, joins the agency from Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners, New York, where he was executive vice president-business development. In the newly created role, Hausman will canvass for new clients as well as try to bolster the New York office's cachet. According to Lance Smith, president of the New York, Saint Louis, Missouri and Canadian offices, the agency will take an aggressive approach to ferret out new-business leads, and added that to not have someone fully dedicated to this office was shortsighted. The agency's current client roster also includes Coca-Cola Co., Mars Inc., and Procter & Gamble Co.
