ABSTRACT
The article focuses on IDS 2000 three-dimensional (3-D) television system, a monochrome stereoscopic vision system being marketed by InDepth Systems Ltd., Nottingham, England. Standard video components are being used for manufacturing this system that consists of a stereo camera, a 3-D camera controller unit to power the system and liquid crystal viewing glasses. The system has been constructed for industrial, machine vision and research applications and consists of two pairs of viewing glasses.
