A study on the Asian pharmaceuticals industry conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers revealed that 58% of firms believe that Asia will surpass North America and Europe in importance in terms of areas for expansion. The study warns that capital constraints could hinder expansion due to venture capital funds (VCF) that support Asian start-up biopharmaceutical firms.
