ABSTRACT
The article reports on the plan of building a symbolic memorial recognizing the volunteers of Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana and Mississippi. The project, Hurricane Katrina Volunteer Memorial Fountain, is planned for the highway welcome center at the border of Louisiana and Mississippi. The memorial fountain will have a long granite wall with bronze plaques describing the disaster and the dedication of the volunteers and donors in the recovery operation.
