ABSTRACT
The article reports on the submission of a bid by Havas Advertising to acquire Snyder Communications. Of the other three, two are said to be traditional agency companies, while one is believed to be a non-traditional suitor, possible an Internet player with high-flying stock valuation. Snyder executives geld due diligence meetings on January 21, 2000 with some bidders. Several executives close to the situation said the bids were in the mid-$20-per-share range. But other industry executives dismissed that price as too high.
