The article reports on the state of chemical companies, specializing in the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) in the eastern region of the world. Companies such as Servier, Aventis and Roche, Gedeon Richter Ltd., and Krka currently dominate the Russian market. It is expected that the Russian API manufacturing could expand in response to new opportunities.
