ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the architectural details of the restaurant Queenie in Paris, France. The design was a challenge for its designer Michael Malapert because of its location and clientele. The restaurant was designed in a subterranean space to attract both tourists and locals. The staircases were designed in black, white, and silver to descend into a space in which luxurious materials and inventive seating are arranged. It was designed to avoid having the space be too intimidating.
