ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the design specialties of the Rebak Island Resort among the 99 islands in Malaysia. JPA Associates designed the resort, which is based in Singapore. The design reflects its tropical forest surroundings with elements such as timber and Bismarck palm incorporated throughout the resort. The guestrooms were constructed in traditional Malaysian style and decorated with ethnic artifacts that showcase Malay arts and crafts. It is eco-friendly and was constructed using natural materials.
