ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the latest Metals Activity Report in August 2007 by Metals Service Center Institute in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. The service center inventories of steel and aluminum products continue to decline in the U.S. and Canada. The total steel inventories of U.S. service centers dropped to 18.2% while Canadian steel inventories decreased to 18.6% as compared to August 2006. U.S. total aluminum inventories declined to 21.7% while Canada aluminum inventories go down by 14.9%.
