The article reports on the use of high technology for the virtual reality and augmented reality aspects of the amusement industry. Augmented reality is a mix of previous technologies that enable a computer generated image to be superimposed over real-world imagery. Companies such as Total-Immersion and Virtual Sightseeing have developed virtual viewing systems allowing spectators to see what a structure originally looked like.
