ABSTRACT
The article reports that scientists at the University of Texas-Austin have developed the first fully automated, all-in-one-test, or lab on a chip, that probe cells for common sign of oral cancer. According to scientist John McDevitt, the portable device offers speed and efficiency to the diagnostic process. The test could accurately measure levels of epidermal growth factor receptor on three types of oral cancer cells.
