ABSTRACT
The article reports on investments done by several firms in the chemical industry for their growth and development. Reliance Industries Ltd. will make use of refinery feeds from its world-scale Jamnagar refinery for petrochemicals, but the final structure of the $3-billion project is not yet clear. Shell Oil Co. has decided to invest further in its Dutch plant, Moerdijk, to crack heavier hydrowax feed.
