ABSTRACT
The article reports that the Local One stagehands union in the U.S. has set a strike vote on October 21, 2007 after contract negotiations with the League of American Theaters and Producers ended on October 9, 2007. Local One, a member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), also indicated that strike authorization from IATSE may not be legally required if the producers implement its last offer to the union.
