ABSTRACT
The article reports on Star TV's plan to open a sales office in Los Angeles, California to promote some of its 40 Asian-language channels in North America. Star TV is News Corp.'s Hong Kong-based satcaster. The Los Angeles office will be headed by David Wisnia, vice president of sales and distribution. DirecTV carries four Star channels, including Star India Plus and the Tamil-language Vijay.
