ABSTRACT
The article reports on a survey into the sexual behavior of HIV positive men and women conducted in Cape Town, South Africa. It was discovered that individuals who concealed their HIV status were more likely to indulge in risky sexual behaviors, including participating in unsafe sex. The authors of the study noted that limitations in the study were such that conclusions about the non-disclosure habits of HIV carriers could not be applied to the country as a whole. Details are offered on the methods employed to conduct the survey.
