ABSTRACT
The article predicts the growth of semiconductor wafer shipments in 2007, according to a survey conducted by trade group SEMI. According to SEMI, the leading silicon wafer suppliers are optimistic for a small rebound in silicon wafer shipments in 2008 that will keep the compound average growth rate (CAGR) for the industry healthy. Total wafer shipments are expected to experience robust growth through the entire forecast period included in the survey, with an average CAGR of 8 percent from 2006 to 2010.
