ABSTRACT
The article discusses how cost containment is on the agenda of the clinical research industry. Laurie Halloran of the Halloran Consulting Group says that one of the biggest issues facing the research industry is revising long-time habits and instituting efficient new ways of doing business. She explains that sponsors and others in the research industry are trying to contain costs by looking critically at how well their resources are used.
