ABSTRACT
The article reports that thought leaders present at the 2007 CIPD annual conference gave their predictions for human resources (HR). Lisbeth Claus, associate dean of global HR at Willamette University says that HR now needed to focus on being more strategic and acquiring global competencies. Peter Reilly from the Institute for Employment Studies, traditional HR departments are still typical while Angela O'Connor of the National Policing Improvement Agency says that professionals would need to exhibit heretical behavior and discard the old HR procedures.
