The article reports that the City of London Police (CoLP) sped up from 22nd place to joint third place in the Police Performance Assessment Framework rankings. This is because of the new HR strategies that focused on well-being at work. It also reports that HR interventions helped the force to reduce absences. Carolyn Woolley, HR director for CoLP, says that the key was to take into account not only an individual's health but their satisfaction with the job and the company's expectation of them.
