The article reports on a study that compares the efficacy of 10-day sequential therapy and 10-day triple-drug therapy for uprooting Helicobacter pylori infection in patients with dyspepsia or peptic ulcer disease. A randomized controlled trial is designed. The subjects had dyspepsia or peptic ulcers without having been treated for H. pylori infection ever. The results show the sequential therapy to be more effective than triple-drug therapy for eradicating H. pylori infection in the subjects.
