ABSTRACT
The article reports on a study concerned with duration of oral anticoagulant therapy in patients having Deep Venous Thrombosis (DVT), Pulmonary Embolism (PE), or both. The method involved a randomized controlled trial (RCT) with follow-up period of one year. Details regarding exclusion, intervention and outcomes including death from DVT or PE and treatment failure are mentioned. It concludes that six or three months of anticoagulant therapy did not differ for treatment failure in subjects.
