The article focuses on the issue of counterfeiting in China, which has forced multinationals to step up efforts to protect their brands, products and customers. China has strengthened its intellectual property rights (IPR) protection. German-based Henkel Corp., a manufacturer of consumer cleaning, cosmetics and adhesives products, has set up an IPR protection squad. Over the past two years, the team has confiscated 2.5 million counterfeit products, 70% of which may have originated from China.
