ABSTRACT
The article discusses the efforts of lawmakers, including Bennie Thompson and Henry Waxman, to scrutinize the actions of the executive branch. Thompson sent a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff about the department's failure to enforce the mandated Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC). Waxman questioned the Consumer Healthcare Products Administration (CHPA) on the continued marketing of medicines for infants even after the findings of not suitable for them.
