'Spade' ditched at Comedy net

The article reports that the Comedy Central network did not renew the weekly series "The Showbiz Show With David Spade" after the end of its third season in June 2007. According to Comedy Central's executive Lauren Corrao, the show has turned into appointment viewing for Americans' celebrity-focused culture. Spade, which executive-produced the show, stars in the hit CBS comedy "Rules of Engagement."
