ABSTRACT
The article reports on the joint venture established by metal products distributor Cargill and Robinson Steel to produce and market RPS Sheet and Plate in the U.S. The joint venture will have an initial capacity of 200,000 tons of cold-reduced cut-to-length hot-rolled steel per year from a 100,000-square-foot factory in Granite City, Illinois. Under the agreement, Cargill will provide the sales and marketing of the sourced hot-rolled band, while Robinson will manage the production.
