ABSTRACT
The article reports that Writers Guild of America (WGA) has created an award for videogame writing, with the inaugural trophy to be presented at the Writers Guild Awards in the U.S. on February 9, 2008. The award aims to promote storytelling excellence in videogames, improve writers' status and encourage uniform standards. The qualified credited writers should be, or apply to be, members of the New Media Caucus.
