ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the strategic training initiatives of various companies. Microsoft Corp. focused on extended enterprise learning by designing and delivering several new initiatives in 2007. These include formal classroom and online training programs for its marketing and sales employees and educational programs and campaigns for its partners. Scottrade Inc. likewise exemplified its commitment to employee training by creating an online, 20-week intern learning map in 2006 that includes topics about customer service, corporate culture, and account funding. Moreover, Telkom SA Ltd. also designed and implemented a next-generation networking technology training program which focuses on essentials training and professional training.
