ABSTRACT
The article discusses the science and technology behind plug-in software for emulating sound effects. At Universal Audio, the development of software versions of classic hardware required careful selection. The two possible approaches to emulating the older products are: performing a measurement of the system and re-creating the algorithms for a digital effects device.
