ABSTRACT
The profiles on Kendell Geers, an apartheid-era white South American artist. According to the author, Geers at 15, run-way and has abandoned his abusive and alcoholic father, while his mother left when he was a boy for the same reason. Upon leaving, he changed his name to Jacobus Hermanus Pieter Geers and vowed not to speak Afrikaans. His career as an artist began to flourish in the 90s, featuring his several group exhibit but has drawn more enemies due to his non-conforming behavior.
