ABSTRACT
The article presents several new briefs from the chemical industry. ExxonMobil Chemical Co. plans to expand production of paraxylene at its Rotterdam aromatics plant by 25%, and benzene by 20%. Russian potash giant Uralkali has renewed plans to list on the London Stock Exchange. Uralkali was reportedly looking at placing about 10% of its shares at an estimated price of $700m. Venezuela intends to revolutionize its petrochemical industry to rake in income of $100bn over the next five years.
