ABSTRACT
The article announces a ground breaking ceremony hosted by Evonik Degussa GmbH for a new integrated production plant for thermoplastic methacrylate resins and other methacrylate specialties in Shanghai, China. Dr. Klaus Engel, member of the Management Board, states that the investment consolidates its position as a worldwide leading manufacturer of methacrylates. Furthermore, the new production plant is expected to operate in the second half of 2009.
