ABSTRACT
The article presents a reprint of the article "Numbers" by Jessica Hautsch which appeared in the 2007 issue of the publication "Progress in Transplantation." The author narrates on how numbers let her remember the death of her brother who suffered from swelling of the brain. What has happened during their stay in the hospital and her notions about numbers are accounted. She noted that everything about her brother is gone and only broken numbers with memories of a life that is too short left her.
