ABSTRACT
The article offers suggestions on increasing the chances of getting promoted. It is stated that for becoming promotable, one should familiarize himself with the broader business arena and general management issues, develop social and political skills that enable him to build effective relationships. It is noted that failure to meet business objectives, and failure to build and lead a team are certain factors that can prevent an otherwise capable person from further advancement.
