The article reports that most of the assets of Quaker Fabric Corp. have been acquired by Canadian contract fabric specialist Victor Innovatex Inc. in a joint venture with Gordon Bros. Group. The deal, worth about $27 million, includes Quaker's real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory, intellectual property, trademarks and design archive. Victor Innovatex also plans to become a leader in residential textiles.
