Hill;9/21/2007, Vol. 14 Issue 109, p4
The article reports on the concern of Senator Charles Schumer on Dubai government's deal to take over part of the NASDAQ stock market in the U.S. Both NASDAQ and Bourse Dubai volunteered to examine the deal through the Committee for Foreign Investment in the U.S. (CFIUS) but Congress revamped the screening process in 2007 and it did not receive scrutiny from the government. Bourse plans to acquire 19.9 percent stake in NASDAQ and 28 percent in entire stake in the London Stock Exchange.
